How Can We Help?
< Back to Help Center

Google Search Console is a free service that helps you monitor and maintain your site’s presence in Google search results. Once you register with Search Console, Google can alert you when changes happen to your site which may affect its performance in search results. This includes: adding new pages or making other content changes, fixing broken links or redirects, submitting sitemaps and more.

One of the most important features of Google Search Console is the ability to add or delete users from viewing your account on a web browser by going into “Users.” You can also change their role from viewer to editor if necessary for them to make edits. This feature will allow you to control who has access permissions for your account.

This article will walk you through how to manage users in your Google Search Console account.

  • A property can have a maximum of 100 users with edit or view-only permissions.
  • Users MUST have a Google Account. Group email aliases are not valid users.
  • You must be a property owner (or an owner of a parent property) to add or remove a user.

  4. Select Users and permissions
  5. The click Add User and enter each following email: eli@elivated.com & jobel@elivated.com
  6. Select Full for the Permission and click Add
  7. The new user must add the property to their property list in order to access it.

Delete A User

  1. Choose a property in Search Console.
  2. Click the Settings icon Settings in the navigation pane.
  3. Click Users & permissions.
  4. Select the More menu next to the user to delete and click Remove access. The change should take effect very quickly.
